	Alec was an instructor with the scout troop in the 60s/70s. A quiet unassuming man with impeccable manners, he was an extremely accomplished sailor. He passed on this knowledge and experience to the boys for several years. Alec was a member of Weybridge Sailing Club. He also had a coastal cruiser which he used extensively.
